How is registration handled?
Eligible coaches are required to register online at the U.S. Soccer website: http://www.ussoccer.com/Coaches/National-Coaching-Schools/National-Course-Schedule.aspx
Confirmed candidates will be notified via e-mail with additional course details. Candidates should secure travel only after receiving written confirmation from U.S. Soccer.
How is payment handled?
Full course payment is required at the time of online registration.
Tuition - $900
U.S. Soccer Coaching School course fee ($900) includes tuition, all course materials, lunch and dinner. The course fee does not include housing, ground transportation, airfare, or activities outside of the standard course schedule.
Housing (optional) - $350
Candidates may select to add housing by choosing the residency option during the course registration process. Housing is based on double occupancy and includes breakfast. The fee for housing is $350. Candidates are randomly paired. If you have a roommate request please email that request to coaches@ussoccer.org no later than May 11. Roommate request will not be accepted after this date. An additional $100 fee will be added to all housing requests after May 11.

Are single rooms available?
A limited number of single rooms may be available. Candidates may request a single room. If available, an additional charge will be added to the course fee. Please contact the U.S. Soccer Coaching Education Department at 312-528-1219 after you have received your course confirmation to make these arrangements.
When do I need to arrive on June 2?
Registration will take place at Darlington School from 12:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. on Sat., June 2. The course orientation and first lecture begins promptly at 3:30 p.m. Candidates who arrive after the start of the course will be responsible for making up the missed sessions at a future course before a final course grade is issued.
Which airport should I fly into?
We suggest that you make airline reservations into one of the following airports:
- Hartsfield Jackson Atlanta Airport (ATL): 1 hour from Darlington School
- Chattanooga Metropolitan Airport (CHA): 1 hour 20 minutes from Darlington School
- Birmingham International Airport (BHM): 1 hour 35 minutes from Darlington School
Is internet available on campus?
Wireless service is available on campus. Candidates will be provided a password at Check-in. More computer access information will be available upon arrival.
Is transportation provided?
Transportation is available from the Hartsfield Jackson Atlanta Airport (ATL) to Darlington School on June 2 and return on June 10. Reservations made more than seven days in advance of June 2 will be charged $35 one-way or $60 round-trip. Candidates who reserve less than seven days will be charged $45 each way. Day of walk-ups will be charged a $55 one-way fee, based on availability. Reservations and payment will be made directly with Darlington School. More details will be available upon confirmation.
A list of confirmed candidates will be provided prior to the course for candidates to who wish to arrange carpool options.
When does the course end?
All candidates will end at approximately noon on Sunday, June 10.
What is a typical day like?
A typical day will begin at 8:00 a.m. and end at 5:30 p.m. Some days will include an evening lecture or field session. Schedules will be provided at registration.
What are the expectations?
We strongly recommend candidates come in good, physical condition to meet the demands of the course. Candidates will spend approximately three to five hours on the field each day.
Is their pre-course homework?
"A" candidates are required to complete a pre-course assignment and a FIFA Laws exam. "B" candidates are required to complete a FIFA Laws exam prior to arriving. "C" candidates are required to complete a pre-course assignment and a FIFA Laws exam.
Can I film sessions?
U.S. Soccer does not allow filming or recording of any classroom or field sessions.
Is gear provided?
Candidates are required to provide their own training gear.
Will a trainer be available during the field sessions?
A trainer will be present at all field sessions to provide ice, tape, water and general coverage.
What if I need to cancel my registration?
Please be advised that a $100 deposit is non-refundable and non-transferable. A late cancellation fee of $450 plus deposit ($100) will be assessed to candidates who cancel less than three (3) weeks from the start of the course, regardless of circumstance. Any cancellations within seven (7) days from the start of the course or who fail to attend, regardless of circumstance, will forfeit their entire course tuition.
How does grading work?
Candidates undergo a challenging series of written, oral and practical examinations on a variety of subjects. Candidates are graded on a scale of 1 (high) to 5 (fail), and must receive passing scores in all test areas in order to become licensed. A single failing score in a theoretical subject qualifies for a retest in that subject. All retests will take place at the conclusion of the course.
When will I receive my results?
Candidates will receive their results within four to six weeks following the conclusion of the course.
