Along with host Mexico, the U.S. will compete in the round-robin tournament with El Salvador and Spain. The team with the most points after three games will be crowned 2012 Cancun Cup champion.
The USA opens the tournament against Spain on Feb. 10 before facing El Salvador on Feb. 11 and closing out the competition against Mexico on Feb. 12.
Spain and Mexico are familiar foes for the U.S., having played against both teams in the 2011 Miami Cup. Mexico won its match 7-6, while the U.S. edged out Spain 1-0 on penalty kicks after tying 3-3.
