U.S. Soccer Coaching Symposium To Be Held On May 24-25 In Conjunction With U.S. MNT Match Against Czech Republic In East Hartford, Conn.
The U.S. Soccer Coaching Department will conduct a coaching symposium May 24-25 in conjunction with the first game of the Send-Off Series as the U.S. Men’s National Team faces the Czech Republic in East Hartford, Conn.

CHICAGO (May 6, 2010) – The U.S. Soccer Coaching Department will conduct a coaching symposium May 24-25 in conjunction with the first game of the Send-Off Series as the U.S. Men’s National Team faces the Czech Republic in East Hartford, Conn. The Send-Off Series will be the last two matches played in the U.S. before the team travels to South Africa for the 2010 FIFA World Cup.
Participating coaches will have the opportunity to watch the U.S. MNT that will be participating in the 2010 FIFA World Cup, as well as hear from a member of the U.S. MNT staff. Along with a ticket to the game, attendees will be given the unique chance to observe a closed-door training session the day before the match.
In addition, attendees will be presented with a preview of the new U.S. Soccer National Curriculum developed by newly appointed Youth Technical Director Claudio Reyna. The new U.S. Soccer National Curriculum is being developed to address coaching development for players U-6 to U-20.
U.S. Soccer Director of Scouting Tony Lepore will lead the two-day event. Lepore will discuss U.S. Soccer’s scouting network and give a match analysis after the game.
Cost for the symposium is $70 for active U.S. Soccer CoachesNet members and $80 for non-members. Registration includes a ticket to the game, a personalized symposium packet which contains a 2010 Men’s National Team yearbook, a Best Practices booklet and a U.S. Soccer CoachesNet notebook. Registration is open to all coaches.
U.S. Soccer “A” licensed coaches will earn two “Continuing Education Units” for attending this symposium.
