Luis Nieto has been selected as the Development Academy Referee of the Week for exceptional performances on Jan. 16 between Concorde Fire and North Meck and Jan. 17 between Concorde Fire and Charlotte Soccer Academy.

Nieto has been officiating for the past 10 years. In addition to Development Academy matches, Nieto also officiates at the professional and collegiate levels. In his competitive days, Nieto was also a semi-professional player for Gulf Coast of Miami.
