Vardar’s offensive firepower was on full display at Finals Week as they scored seven times in the group stage, ultimately qualifying for the championship match on goal differential. In their opening match, they drew 1-1 with a talented Real So Cal squad that pushed them to the wire on the third day as both teams ended up on seven points after three games. Their second match saw them see off Concorde Fire 3-0, while they repeated that result against Baltimore Bays Chelsea to put a cap on an impressive five-day span in Carson, Calif.

THEY SAID IT: “We don’t have many superstars, but we always work hard for each other and usually come out with a good result in the final. We’re going to try to stay focused, treat it like any other game and just try to prepare ourselves physically and mentally for the game.” –Joseph Dillon, Vardar
Crossfire Premier
After dropping its Finals Week opener against FC Dallas, Crossfire Premier rebounded to pick up a huge win against CASL Chelsea FC and carried the momentum into the final group match. Bernie James’ side needed a win and some help to have a chance at the title, so a late two-goal lead was still suspect. When the final whistle blew in the FC Dallas-CASL Chelsea FC match, Crossfire confirmed its place in the championship game. The Washington-based side allowed only a single goal across all three games so far in Carson.
