EVERYTHING UP FOR GRABS: It all comes down to the final day of group games for the U-17/18s. Both groups have three teams who can advance to Saturday night’s championship with only one team in each group (Derby County in Group 1 and Concorde Fire in Group 2) mathematically eliminated. Currently, FC Dallas is in the pole position in Group 1, with CASL Chelsea FC and Crossfire Premier both within striking distance. In Group 2, Vardar and Real So Cal are tied at the top of the standings with Baltimore Bays Chelsea only one point back.

U-17/18 Quick Hits
• Through eight games, there have been 20 goals scored by 20 different players.
• FC Dallas entered Finals Week on a 12-game winning and multiple goals-scored streak. Since arriving in LA however, their possession-reliant style of play has allowed them to stay on top of their group with only two goals in two games.
• Six of the first eight games have been either draws or decided by one goal.
• Every U-17/18 team has gotten on the scoreboard, compared to the U-15/16s where D.C. United has gone scoreless and Baltimore Bays Chelsea finally got their first tallies in the last match of group play.
• In true tournament fashion, both final games in each group will be played at the same time, leaving fans, players and coaches forced to listen for goals from the field behind them to determine where their team stands in-game.
SEASON FINALE: The Development Academy playoff system was created to add to the number of meaningful games for Academy athletes, further enhancing the player development process. Since its launch in the fall of 2007, the Academy has improved the training environment, provided relevant, high-level matches on a consistent basis, increased the level and efficiency of scouting for the national teams and provided players, coaches and referees with structured programming.
