Dec. 6, 2006
Best area of the U.S. to live: West Coast, East Coast or Midwest?
“I’ll say West Coast. I’m not sure why but I really like the West Coast. Maybe it’s due to the water.”
Best pre-game ritual: sleeping, listening to music or just relaxing?
“I like to just relax and visualize my game before I actually go out there and play.”
Favorite activity to partake in that Minnesota is well known for: Canoeing, fishing or snow skiing?
“I’ll say fishing. I did some fishing with my high school coach. We used to go up to a few lakes. We didn’t catch a lot of fish, but I did catch about a 12-inch fish once. I have no idea what kind of fish it was.”
Type of car you’d most like to drive: sports car, SUV or big ol’ truck?
“Sport car because they’re fast. I don’t have a favorite so I’ll just take whatever I can get that can go fast.”
Fictional creature you think most likely really does exist: Bigfoot, Loch Ness Monster or the Abominable Snowman?
“Abominable Snowman. I figure he lives out in the mountains and the snow where there aren’t a lot of people so he has a good chance of staying hidden.”
Electronic equipment you couldn’t live without: Cell phone, computer or iPod?
“My cell phone for sure. I have to talk to my parents all the time. I talk to my friends back in Minnesota, too.”
Toughest national team you’ve faced during your time with the U-17s: Brazil, Mexico or Portugal?
“I’m going to say Brazil. I played them in my first international game with the U17s and they were pretty good. For my first game it was a bit difficult to get into a rhythm as they were really quick.”
Favorite MNT forward: Eddie Johnson, Josh Wolff or Brian Ching?
“Eddie Johnson because I really like how he plays. He can hold the ball, but he can also take guys on one-on-one. And he can also finish.”
League in the world that you’d most like to play in: English Premier League, Serie A or German Bundesliga?
“English Premier League because they have really good fans and they provide the players with really good money. My favorite team is Arsenal and I’d love to play with Henry.”
Superstitions on day of game: Have one, have more than one or don’t have any?
“I don’t have any superstitions.”
Best professional sports team to watch live in the state of Minnesota: Vikings, Twins or Timberwolves?
“I’m going to say the Timberwolves. I watched a couple games last season and Kevin Garnett is my favorite basketball player. I don’t think they’ll be very good this season though.”
NFC North team you’d like the Vikings to beat the most: Green Bay Packers, Chicago Bears or Detroit Lions?
“I don’t really watch football. Although I did play football. I was a kicker for my high school team. My longest field goal was 34 yards. And I was only 13 when I played because I skipped six and seventh grade.”
AFC team with the best chance to win the Super Bowl this season: Colts, Chargers or Patriots?
“Well, like I said I don’t play a lot of football, but I’ll say Patriots since they’ve won it recently.”
Craziest X-Game: Moto X Freestyle, Skateboard Big Air or Rally Car Racing?
“Moto X Freestyle. That’s crazy. I would never get on a bike and do that. Never.”
Sport you’d most like to play professionally if you didn’t play soccer: football, golf or basketball?
“Football. I’d be a kicker because it’s easy.”
Best fast-food burger joint: McDonalds, Burger King or Wendy’s?
“McDonalds. I don’t know why, but I just like it there. I actually don’t really eat there much, but when I do, I’m getting a Big Mac and fries.”
Usual breakfast: Eggs and bacon, cereal or pancakes?
“I don’t eat bacon at all, but I’ll eat the eggs.”
Best concession snack at a ballgame: Hotdog, nachos or pretzel?
“Nachos. I like nachos.”
You’re in charge of dinner: Cooking an actual meal, throwing in a frozen pizza or heading to a restaurant?
“I’ll probably just take everyone out to dinner, probably Friday’s. I love going and getting whatever I feel like on the menu.”
Women’s magazine you’ll actually admit to reading an entire article in: Cosmo, Glamour or InStyle?
“I don’t think I’ve ever read one, but if I have to choose one I’ll pick InStyle.”
Funniest animated series: “Simpsons,” “Family Guy” or “South Park”?
“The ‘Simpsons.’ My favorite character is the little guy, Bart. I don’t watch a lot of cartoons though because I’m watching soccer 24/7.”
You become blessed with amazing musical voice. What singing career are you pursuing: member of a boy band, solo artist or lead vocal in band?
“I’d be a solo artist. I’m not a big music fan, but I’d probably go on my own if I did get into it.”
