U-20 MNT 'New Years Resolutions'

Check out what the U.S. Under-20 MNT players and coaches have resolved to do for the New Year...besides qualify for the 2007 FIFA U-20 World Cup, of course.

U-20 Assistant Coach Tim “Big Cat” Mulqueen
“I want to stay up on current events better and learn Spanish in my free time.”

Midfielder Danny Szetela
“Not to get injured again, make the U-20 World Cup team and win the World Cup.”

Defender Tim Ward
“Go to church more often.”

Defender Nathan Sturgis
“First, I want to keep my groins healthy, but also I want to work on my golf game.”

Midfielder Dax McCarty
“Stop biting my nails.”

Defender Julian Valentin
“To wash my hands after every time I go to the bathroom. I figure if I do it every time for a month, I’ll continue to do it.”

Forward Andre Akpan
“To maintain the fitness I’ve built up during this camp and just improve my game overall.”

Defender Tony Beltran
“Give up candy.”

Goalkeeper Brian Perk
“To help get the U-20s to the semifinals of the World Cup…at least.”
