U.S. Draws Ecuador, Advances to La Serena Cup Final
The U.S. Under-17 Men's National Team tied Ecuador 1-1 in the third game of the La Serena cup in northern Chile, bringing their unbeaten record to 2-0-1.

LA SERENA, Chile (Feb. 5, 2009) -- The U.S. Under-17 Men's National Team tied Ecuador 1-1 in the third game of the La Serena cup in northern Chile, bringing their unbeaten record to 2-0-1.
With head coach Wilmer Cabrera using 11 different starters than he used in a 1-0 win against Peru, the U.S. gave up their first goal of the trip in the 57th minute. They were able to battle back just 13 minutes later, however, as Michael Ambrose struck a free kick that leveled the game and gave the U.S. a place in the La Serena Cup final on Feb. 7.
