U.S. U-17 Men’s National Team Defeats Maccabi Haifa in Bradenton, Fla.

The U.S. Under-17 Men’s National Team defeated a Maccabi Haifa youth team behind a hat trick from Ahinga Selemani. The teams squared off at IMG Academies in Bradenton, Fla.

BRADENTON, Fla. (Dec. 11, 2012) – The U.S. Under-17 Men’s National Team defeated a Maccabi Haifa youth team 3-2 behind a hat trick from Ahinga Selemani. The teams squared off at IMG Academies in Bradenton, Fla.

Selemani opened the scoring in the third minute, following that up with a 14th minute goal assisted by Shaquell Moore. Maccabi Haifa pulled two goals back, in the 22nd and 60th minutes but Selemani scored the game-winner in the 70th minute with an assist from Bradford Jamieson.

U.S. goalkeeper Evan Louro secured the scoreline in the 78th minute by saving a penalty kick.
