CHICAGO (Aug. 30, 2010) – Tickets for the Oct. 6 clash between the U.S. Women’s National Team and China will go on sale Friday, Sept. 3, in what will be the USA’s first visit to the brand new PPL Park in Chester, Pa.
It will be the USA’s final match before beginning the CONCACAF Women’s World Cup Qualifying tournament that is taking place from Oct. 28 through Nov. 8 in Cancún and Playa del Carmen, Mexico. The eight-team competition will send the two finalists to Germany for the 2011 FIFA Women’s World Cup being held June 26-July 17, while the third place finisher will earn the right to play for a World Cup berth during a two-leg playoff against the fifth place finisher from Europe.
Tickets for the game on the Chester waterfront start at $18 and go on sale to the public this Friday, Sept. 3, at 10 a.m. ET through ussoccer.com, by phone at 1-800-298-4200 and at the PPL Park ticket office (open Monday-Friday 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.) Groups of 20 or more can obtain an order form at ussoccer.com or call 312-528-1290.
