The U.S. Under-23 Men’s National Team clinched a berth to the 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing this evening after defeating Canada, 3-0, at LP Field in Nashville, Tenn., in the semifinals of CONCACAF Men’s Olympic Qualifying.

U.S. Men Drawn into Group B with Netherlands, Nigeria and Japan

The U.S. Under-23 Men’s National Team has been drawn into Group B of the Men’s Olympic Football Tournament, along with Japan, the Netherlands and Nigeria, and will based in Tianjin for its first two games before moving to the Olympic host city of Beijing to round out the first stage.

U.S. Women Face Brazil in Final Match Before 2008 Olympics

The U.S. will finish a two-game series vs. Brazil on Wednesday, July 16, at Torero Stadium on the campus of the University of San Diego. The U.S. Women’s National Team will face Brazil in its final two matches before the 2008 Olympics, starting the two-game set on July 13 at Dick’s Sporting Goods Park in Commerce City, Colo. (2 p.m. MT live on ESPN), before traveling to San Diego, Calif., for a July 16 game at the University of San Diego’s Torero Stadium (7 p.m. PT live on Fox Soccer Channel).
