The 2010 Development Academy Spring Showcase has drawn to a close, with 258 games completed on the 20 fields at the Sarasota Polo Grounds. Nearly 4,000 players, 118 referees, hundreds of spectators and 300 college coaches descended upon Sarasota, Fla., for one of the premier youth events in the country.

Development Academy Spring Showcase Kicks Off With Nearly 70 Games at the Sarasota Polo Grounds

The U.S. Soccer Development Academy Spring Showcase kicked off a busy weekend with a full slate of games, capped off by the U.S. U-17 Men’s National Team match against a Development Academy Select Team. All 146 Development Academy teams were in action for the first of five days of games as the event continues throughout the holiday weekend.
