CHICAGO (Wednesday, February 12, 2003) - U.S. Soccer announced today that the U.S. Women's National Team will face South Korea on Saturday, June 14, 2003, in Salt Lake City, Utah at Rice-Eccles Stadium on the campus of the University of Utah. The match, presented by the Utah Sports Commission, will kick off at 7 p.m. MT / 9 p.m. ET and be broadcast live on ESPN2.

Team Preps for First-Ever U.S. Women's Match in Utah

June 12, 2003

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah (Thursday, June 12, 2003) - The U.S. Women's National Team arrived in Salt Lake City on Monday night and held their first training on Tuesday afternoon at the University of Utah's women's soccer field. Without six players who were playing midweek WUSA games, the USA trained with just 17 players for the first three days in Utah. The remaining six players arrived today and went on a light jog and stretch in the afternoon. Today's training at Rice-Eccles Stadium was the first on the FieldTurf surface for the U.S. team, and overall, the pitch got good marks from the U.S. players, several of whom play on the same surface for their WUSA clubs.

Heinrichs Selects Roster for Ireland Friendly on June 14

CHICAGO (Tuesday, June 3, 2003) -- U.S. Women’s National Team head coach April Heinrichs has named the 23-woman roster that will train for four days before facing Ireland in an important Women’s World Cup warm-up match at Rice-Eccles Stadium in Salt Lake City, Utah, on June 14, 2003. Kickoff for the match, which will follow a 4 p.m. Pro Select League match between the Utah Blittzz and the Orange County Blue Star, is at 7 p.m. MT (9 p.m. ET / 6 p.m. PT) and will be televised live on ESPN2.

CHICAGO (Friday, May 2, 2003) – U.S. Soccer announced today that Ireland has replaced South Korea as the opponent for the U.S. Women's National Team on Saturday, June 14, 2003, in Salt Lake City, Utah at Rice-Eccles Stadium on the campus of the University of Utah. The match, presented by the Utah Sports Commission, will kick off as originally scheduled at 7 p.m. MT / 9 p.m. ET and be broadcast live on ESPN2.

U.S. U-20 WNT Defeats Utah Spiders, 4-0, to Close Out High-Altitude Training Camp

June 11, 2008

The U.S. Under-20 Women's National Team defeated the Utah Spiders of the WPSL 4-0 in a match at Rice Eccles Stadium in Salt Lake City as its week of high altitude training came to an end. U.S. head coach Tony DiCicco will now select 20 players from the 24 that were in training camp for the USA's roster for CONCACAF qualifying for the 2008 FIFA U-20 Women's World Cup.

U.S. Women Set To Finish Two Game Set Against Mexico at Rio Tinto Stadium

After a solid 3-0 victory against Mexico on March 28 in San Diego, the U.S. Women’s National Team has traveled to Salt Lake City in preparation for facing Mexico again on March 31 at Rio Tinto Stadium in Sandy, Utah. Rio Tinto, the home of MLS champion Real Salt Lake, will be hosting the U.S. WNT for the first time. The match kicks off at 7 p.m. MT on ESPN2 and will be the 50th match for U.S. head coach Pia Sundhage at the helm of the U.S. team.
