U.S. Women Arrive in Two Shifts for Algarve Cup

FARO, Portugal (Tuesday, March 11, 2003) - The first wave of U.S. players and staff arrived in the Algarve region of Portugal on the morning of Saturday, March 8, as 13 of the 20 players on the roster made the quick cross-Atlantic trip from Newark, N.J. Due to several WUSA exhibitions matches on Saturday, the final seven U.S. players, comprised of players from the Washington Freedom, Atlanta Beat, Philadelphia Charge and Carolina Courage, arrived on Monday.
