U.S. Soccer Wire: MacMillan to Miss Remainder of WUSA Season

An MRI on the right knee of U.S. Women's National Team forward Shannon MacMillan conducted this morning in San Diego confirmed a complete tear of the anterior cruciate ligament in her right knee, putting the San Diego Spirit striker out for the remainder of the 2003 WUSA season. MacMillan injured her knee eight minutes into the Spirit's match against the Boston Breakers last night at Torero Stadium.
