U.S. Women Need Win or Tie vs. Italy to Clinch 2002 Nike U.S. Women's Cup

CARY, N.C. (Friday, October 4, 2002) - Coming off a solid 4-0 win over Australia on Wednesday, only Italy stands in the way of an 8th tournament championship for the U.S. Women's National Team. The USA's final match of the tournament on Sunday, Oct. 6, against Italy at SAS Park in Cary, N.C. will be broadcast live on ESPN2 at 2 p.m. ET. A win or a tie against Italy will clinch the tournament title for the Americans.
