CHICAGO (Tuesday, May 25, 2004) – U.S. Soccer announced the first and second round pairings for the 2004 Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup today. The field of teams is up from 34 to 40 last year, with the first round featuring solely amateur squads, with the professional teams from United Soccer Leagues and Major League Soccer entering in rounds two through four.
