Columbus, Los Angeles and Dallas Advance to Open Cup Semifinals; Galaxy to Host Burn on Sept. 3

CHICAGO (Thursday, August 8, 2002) – U.S. Soccer announced today that the MLS’ Los Angeles Galaxy will host the Dallas Burn in a 2002 Lamar U.S. Open Cup Semifinal at Titan Stadium in Fullerton, Calif., on Tuesday, September 3, at 8 p.m. PT. The other Semifinal, set for Tuesday, Sept. 10, will pit the Columbus Crew (MLS) against the winner of the remaining Quarterfinal match to be played on August 24 when the Kansas City Wizards (MLS) visit the Milwaukee Rampage (A-League).
