LOULE, Portugal (Saturday, March 18, 2000) - A penalty kick goal by Brandi Chastain in the 9th minute was nurtured, protected and turned out to be the difference, as the U.S. Women's National Team defeated Norway, 1-0, to win the Algarve Cup championship for the first time.
