U.S. Soccer Wire: South Korea and North Korea Grab WWC Spots

South Korea joined North Korea in qualifying for the FIFA Women's World Cup USA 2003 last week by virtue of a 1-0 victory over Japan in the Third Place match of the AFC Women's Championship in Bangkok, Thailand on Saturday. It will be the first FIFA Women's World Cup for the co-hosts of the 2002 FIFA World Cup.
