PROVIDENCE, R.I. (Monday, Sept. 29, 2003) - The U.S. Women's World Cup Team traveled to Providence, R.I. late last night after securing a place in the quarterfinals of the Women's World Cup with a 3-0 victory over North Korea at Columbus Crew Stadium. The U.S. will now get set to face a tough quarterfinal match against Norway, the only other team besides the U.S. to win a World Cup, wearing the crown in 1995. Today, head coach April Heinrichs gave the women a day off, but the team still went for a run and stretch this afternoon before sitting down with the media to talk about their upcoming match against the Norwegians on Wednesday, Oct. 1 at Foxboro Stadium.
