USA Eliminated from 2012 FIFA U-17 Women's World Cup Despite Finishing with Five Points in Group B

The United States played Korea DPR to a 1-1 draw in the Group B finale at the 2012 FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup, but the USA was eliminated from the competition based on goal differential. Korea DPR and France advanced out of the group to the quarterfinal stage as France made up the necessary seven-goal difference to move ahead of the U.S. for second place.
