U.S. WNT Notes - Focusing on Sweden

CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. (Tuesday, September 16, 2003) - The U.S. Women’s World Cup Team began its final preparations for the FIFA Women’s World Cup 2003 last Saturday, with a training session at the University of Virginia soccer practice field and will hold its final practice there tomorrow before leaving for Washington D.C. In the nation's capital the U.S. will take on Sweden in its opening match of the FIFA Women's World Cup 2003 on Sunday, Sept. 21 at RFK Stadium. And despite the sorrow news of WUSA suspending operations, the WNT is getting down to business and focused squarely on their first opponent.
