U.S. Advances to Semifinals of Olympic Qualifying with 2-0 Win Over Canada

GUADALAJARA, Mexico (Thursday, February 5, 2004) - Bobby Convey scored twice from assists by Landon Donovan as the U.S. Under-23 Men's National Team defeated Canada, 2-0, in CONCACAF Olympic Qualifying. Combined with Honduras's 3-1 win over Panama earlier in the evening, the U.S. and Honduras have advanced to the semifinals of the Olympic Qualifying Tournament with 2-0-0 records (6 pts). Canada and Panama are eliminated fom contention for a place in the semifinals after each opening 0-0-2 (0 pts).
