MEXICO CITY, Mexico (Sunday, Aug. 1, 1999) - Mexican forward Cuauhtemoc Blanco scored a "Golden Goal" six minutes into the first overtime period today as the U.S. National Team dropped a 1-0 decision to Mexico this afternoon in the semifinals of the FIFA Confederations Cup.
