U.S. Finishes Fifth at Pan American Games, Tops Cuba in Penalties in Final Game

RIO DE JANIERO, Brazil (July 28, 2007) – U.S. goalkeeper Brett Philips saved Isven Roman’s effort in the penalty-kick shootout as the U.S. clinched fifth place at the 2007 Pan American games 5-4 on a penalty kick shootout after tying 2-2 in regulation.
