Playing in their final match before the FIFA Women’s World Cup USA 2003, five different players scored as the U.S. Women's National Team topped Mexico 5-0 yesterday (Sept. 7) in front of 13,510 fans at San Jose's Spartan Stadium. Midfielder Shannon Boxx became only the third player in team history to score a goal in her first two international appearances with the early game-winner in the 10th minute, and Abby Wambach added a successful shot/cross strike in the 25th minute, with both goals being assisted by team captain Julie Foudy.
