U.S. Soccer Community Raises Over $135,000 For Hurricane Katrina Victims

NEW YORK (Thursday, September 15, 2005) – The North American soccer community raised over $135,000 for the U.S. Soccer Foundation Hurricane Katrina Relief Fund through an online auction of game-worn, autographed jerseys. The week-long auction included over 100 jerseys from the MLS teams that participated in games on September 3 and 4 as well as members of the United States and Mexico National Teams that faced each other on Sept. 3 in Columbus, Ohio.
