U.S. Soccer's First-Ever "Play-In Days" A Huge Success In Miami

Dec. 11, 2002

CHICAGO (Wednesday, December 11, 2002) – More than 60 girls in the Under-13 to Under-15 age groups (players born from 1987 - 1989) attended U.S. Soccer’s first-ever “Play-In Days”, an event geared toward players who are playing outside of the traditional scouting networks. In an effort to reach out and create more identification and development opportunities for youth female soccer players, U.S. Soccer hosted its first "Play-In Days" at Tropical Park in Miami, Fla., from November 23-24.
