CHICAGO (March 4, 2003) - Heather O'Reilly, a member of the Under-19 Women's National Team, was named the 2002 Gatorade National High School Player of the Year on Tuesday (March 4). The 18-year-old East Brunswick High School (N.J.) senior becomes the sixth U.S. women’s player to be honored with the award, which distinguishes O’Reilly as the nation’s best high school female soccer player.
