U.S. Under-19 WNT Fall to Japan 1-0 in Philips Lighting Invitational

CARSON, Calif. (April 8, 2004) - The U.S. Under-19 Women's National Team fell to Japan, 1-0, in a hard fought match at the 2004 Philips Lighting U-19 Women's Soccer Invitational. Japan's 79th minute goal on a header from team captain Aya Miyama handed the U.S. U-19s the first-ever loss in the short history of the program to a team at their same age-level.
