U.S. Soccer Wire: McBride Leads U.S. into Gold Cup Semifinals; U.S. Women Finish Four Nations Tournament with Win

The U.S. Men's National Team turned in a dominating performance on Sunday, outgunning El Salvador 4-0 to advance to the semifinals of the Gold Cup, where they will face Canada on Wednesday, January 30 at 8:30 p.m. PT at the Rose Bowl. Brian McBride provided the offensive fireworks for the U.S., scoring three goals in the first 21 minutes to lead the U.S. into the semis. Ante Razov added a goal in the second half, his first of 2002. The U.S. has now advanced to the semifinals in five of six Gold Cup tournaments, more than any other nation.
