Hammerheads Pull Off the Upset, Top Burn 4-1; Five MLS Teams Advance Wednesday

The Wilmington Hammerheads of the United Soccer League’s Pro Select League stole the show in the fourth round of the 2003 Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup on Wednesday (Aug. 6) night with a 4-1 upset of the Dallas Burn of MLS at Legion Sports Complex in Wilmington, N.C. Already the prizewinner from Division 3, the Hammerheads dominated their higher division opponent.
