U.S. Soccer Wire: U.S. Returns to Gold Medal Match

The U.S. Women’s National Team put in a gutsy and at times dominating performance today while exacting revenge on 2003 Women’s World Cup champion Germany, winning 2-1 behind an overtime goal from 19-year-old forward Heather O’Reilly in the 99th minute and advancing to the Gold Medal match in Athens on Thursday, Aug. 26 vs. Brazil.
