Under-20s: Lopez played in both of the U-20 MNT’s games against Panama in January in Puebla to prepare for the 2013 CONCACAF U-20 Championship. He was a regular fixture in 2012 with five starts and nine games played in 2012, logging 455 minutes … Under-18s: Lopez participated in February and April training camps and traveled to Argentina and Portugal in 2012. Under-15s: Lopez attended a U-15 training camp in 2008.
Lopez was selected by Sporting Kansas City with the 14th overall pick in the first round of the 2013 MLS SuperDraft.
Lopez played in two seasons with North Carolina, starting in all 21 matches during the 2012 campaign with two goals and an assist. In 2011, Lopez was named the ACC Freshman of the Year when he made 25 appearances and scored three goals and added four assists.
