Under-20s: In 2012, Trapp posted two assists in six games (five starts) in 455 minutes … Under-18s: He was a member of the U-18 MNT team that competed at the 2011 Lisbon International Tournament in late May, earning a start against host Portugal.

Spent his freshman (2011) and sophomore (2012) seasons with Akron and was named to the All-MAC First Team in 2012 after starting 22 games and recording his first career goal – a strike from more than 30 yards out – against Bowling Green in the MAC Tournament semifinals. He added three assists. During his 2011 season, Trapp was named the MAC Newcomer of the Year and joined the All-MAC First Team with five assists in 23 games.
