1. U.S. Soccer SC members receive “exclusive access” to 2011 FIFA Women’s World Cup tickets from the U.S. Soccer team supporter allotment as a benefit of membership.  What does “exclusive access” mean?
Exclusive access means U.S. Soccer SC members are the only fans eligible to apply for tickets from the U.S. Soccer team supporter allotment for the 2011 FIFA Women’s World Cup. These tickets will be located next to other U.S. fans.

Members must join U.S. Soccer SC by the deadline set by U.S. Soccer (12 p.m. ET on Wednesday, Dec. 22, 2010) and meet other requirements (see question 6 below) to be eligible. Membership in U.S. Soccer SC, however, does not guarantee that a member’s application for tickets will be fulfilled (e.g. demand exceeds the available supply), nor does it provide members with free tickets to the 2011 FIFA Women’s World Cup.

2. What is the deadline to join the U.S. Soccer SC to guarantee exclusive access to purchase 2011 FIFA Women’s World Cup tickets from the U.S. Soccer team supporter allotment?
The deadline is 12 p.m. ET on Wednesday, Dec. 22, 2010. Members who register after this deadline will not receive the benefit of exclusive access to purchase 2011 FIFA Women’s World Cup tickets from the U.S. Soccer team supporter allotment.  Fans who do not meet the U.S. Soccer SC membership deadline can purchase tickets directly from FIFA at fifa.com.

3. What is the process to apply for tickets from the U.S. Soccer team supporter allotment for the 2011 FIFA Women’s World Cup?

  • Member joins U.S. Soccer SC before 12 p.m. ET on Wednesday, Dec. 22, 2010 (see question 2 above).
  • U.S. Soccer emails U.S. Soccer SC member the link to an electronic ticket application with instructions on how to apply.
  • U.S. Soccer SC member completes and submits the electronic ticket application via email to worldcuptickets@ussoccer.org (see question 10 below).
  • Online ticket applications are submitted by 6 p.m. ET on Wednesday, Jan. 12, 2011.
  • U.S. Soccer processes ticket applications on a first-come, first-serve basis.
  • Within 72 hours of submitting the completed ticket application, U.S. Soccer SC member receives a confirmation email with ticket request status.
  • Tickets are placed on hold for the U.S. Soccer SC member until U.S. Soccer is able to collect payment information.
  • U.S. Soccer contacts U.S. Soccer SC member by phone prior to January 12, 2011 to collect credit card payment information.
  • U.S. Soccer SC member receives an order confirmation email after credit card payment has been processed.

4. How and when will U.S. Soccer SC members know whether their ticket applications are approved?
Within 72 hours of submitting your completed ticket application, U.S. Soccer will send a confirmation email with the ticket request status. Tickets are placed on hold for the U.S. Soccer SC member until U.S. Soccer is able to collect payment information. Prior to Wednesday, Jan. 12, 2011, U.S. Soccer will contact you by phone to collect credit card payment information. Should you be successful in your application for tickets, your payment card will be immediately charged the full amount noted during the ticket application process (including the cost of conditional tickets). A final order confirmation email will be sent after credit card payment has been processed.

5. Can I cancel my application after it has been approved?
No return or exchange of tickets is allowed.

6. What are the eligibility requirements to apply for 2011 FIFA Women’s World Cup tickets as a U.S. Soccer SC member?

  • All applicants must join U.S. Soccer SC by 12 p.m. ET on Wednesday, Dec. 22, 2010.
  • All applicants must be at least 18 years of age at the time they apply for tickets. Persons of this age can also apply for tickets for those under the age of 18.
  • It is strongly recommended that all applicants use a valid payment card whose expiration date extends until at least September 2011.
  • Applications will also be rejected from or for persons who have been barred from attending soccer matches by a national association or other authority, or from persons who are known to have caused disturbance to security at a football match in the past.

7. How can I pay for tickets?
All ticket applications must be paid by credit card (American Express, Discover, Mastercard or Visa).

8. What happens if there are problems with the payment?
If payment of the full ticket price cannot be successfully performed for reasons that the ticket applicant is responsible for (for example, insufficient credit card credit or account funds to cover the payment, or the ticket applicant's payment is revoked), then U.S. Soccer is entitled to deny the ticket application.

9. Do I need to be a U.S. Soccer SC member in order to apply for 2011 FIFA Women’s World Cup tickets?
No. Tickets are currently available for purchase through FIFA.com. There are various sales phases during which fans can purchase tickets. Current and future sales phases are listed below:

  • Third sales phase: September 15, 2010 to December 31, 2010

10. How and when can a U.S. Soccer SC member apply for 2011 FIFA Women’s World Cup tickets from the U.S. Soccer team supporter allotment?
Fans that join U.S. Soccer SC by 12 p.m. ET on Wednesday, Dec. 22, 2010 will be contacted by U.S. Soccer via email with instructions to complete an electronic ticket application. Only those interested in applying for tickets will need to respond. Applications for tickets will be handled on first-come, first-serve basis. All ticket applications must be received by 6 p.m. ET on Wednesday, January 12, 2011.

11. Does completing the ticket application guarantee me 2011 FIFA Women’s World Cup tickets?
No. The electronic ticket application does not guarantee tickets. All ticket applications received from U.S. Soccer SC members during the exclusive access period (Friday, Dec. 17, 2010, through 6 p.m. ET on Jan. 12, 2011) will be processed on a first-come, first-serve basis. If the number of tickets requested by U.S. Soccer SC members does not exceed the available supply, then everyone who applies will receive the tickets they have requested, provided all other terms and conditions are met by the applicant. In the event that the number of tickets requested by U.S. Soccer SC members exceeds the allocation available for any price category for any game and ticket applications cannot be fulfilled, U.S. Soccer SC members can request 2011 FIFA Women’s World Cup tickets through FIFA at fifa.com.  These tickets are not guaranteed to be located by other U.S. supporters.

12. What is a conditional ticket?
Anyone who applies for a ticket to follow the U.S. for matches in the knockout rounds will be applying for a conditional ticket, which will only be valid if the U.S. team advances. Applicants will be required to use a payment card to pay the full amount for all tickets up front.  Should the U.S. fail to advance to a stage of the tournament where someone has purchased a ticket, then the ticket purchaser will be reimbursed the cost of the conditional ticket(s) (less the administrative fee) within 30 days after the final U.S. Women’s National Team match at the 2011 FIFA Women’s World Cup.

13. Can I specify seat locations or request seats adjacent to another applicant?
No. Specific seat requests cannot be considered for the FIFA Women's World Cup Germany 2011™.

Tickets are broken into two categories/price levels. The ticket application will give applicants the opportunity to choose which category of tickets they prefer but not allow any more specifics beyond this. All ticket sales are initially carried out solely in relation to the selected price category. This means that initially no specific seats are allocated, merely seats in a particular area. The allocation of seats (that is, the precise block, row and seat number) within each category takes place at a later time.

The seats booked in an application are typically allocated as contiguous seats. Only in rare, exceptional cases will this not be possible. Seats from different applications cannot, however, be made contiguous.

14. To what matches do U.S. Soccer SC members have exclusive access to tickets for the 2011 FIFA Women’s World Cup?
U.S. Soccer SC members have exclusive access to tickets to U.S. matches only, including each of the U.S. team’s three First Round matches. U.S. Soccer SC members also have the same exclusive access to conditional tickets for the U.S. team’s possible knockout round games, including the Quarterfinals, Semifinals and Final/Third Place Game. Conditional tickets will only be issued if the U.S. advances.

15. How many tickets can I apply for?
Each applicant can apply for up to eight tickets per match.

16. How many price categories are there?
Tickets for the FIFA Women's World Cup Germany 2011™ are offered in four price categories, but only two price categories are available through the U.S. Soccer team supporter allotment.

17. What are the prices for tickets available through the U.S. Soccer team supporter allotment?

18. How are the price categories arranged in the individual stadiums?
The price categories reflect the location of the seat in the stadium.

  • Category 1 seats are generally sideline seats between the goal lines.
  • Category 2 seats generally adjoin category 1. The most attractive seats behind the goal may also be included in category 2.
  • Category 3 seats are generally located behind a goal or in one of the corners (not available through U.S. Soccer).
  • Category 4 seats are generally located behind the goal or in one of the corners (not available through U.S. Soccer).

Due to the various floor plans of the FIFA Women’s World Cup stadiums, the seating category arrangements differ from venue to venue. The seats are classified into the four categories based on objective criteria. Category 1 contains the most attractive seats in the stadium, the next-best seats follow in category 2, and so on.

19. Which fees are included in the ticket price?
All prices specified above (see question 17 above) include the actual ticket price, ticket system fees, a fee for using public transport, value-added tax, and an administrative fee.

Not included are the credit card processing fees and shipping/handling fees, which will be added to the order subtotal. The credit card processing fee will be based on the credit card provided for payment: 2.5% for Visa, Mastercard and Discover cards; 3.25% for American Express cards. There is a standard shipping/handling fee of $22 per ticket application. The credit card processing fees and shipping/handling fees are non-refundable.

20. Can tickets also be purchased in the WC stadiums?
Shortly before the start of the FIFA Women's World Cup Germany 2011™, fans will have the chance to purchase any remaining tickets at the STC (Stadium Ticket Centre). The precise locations will be announced in due course.

However, if your application is successful, you will receive the tickets (minus the conditional tickets) within 30 days before the first match of the 2011 FIFA Women’s World Cup to the address you provided.

25. If the U.S. Women’s National Team advances to the knockout stages, where, when and how should I expect to receive conditional tickets?

26. What if I need to change my delivery address after a successful application?

As stated in the 2011 FIFA Women’s World Cup™ Germany General Terms and Conditions for the Purchase and Use of Tickets, for security reasons, tickets which have been lost by the ticket applicant cannot be replaced. Destroyed tickets can only be replaced if their acquisition can be sufficiently verified, e.g.  if the original tickets are presented.

33. If the U.S. Women’s National Team does not advance to the knockout stages, when and how should I expect to receive a refund for conditional tickets I purchased through the U.S. Soccer team supporter allotment?
U.S. Soccer SC members who successfully applied for conditional tickets will be reimbursed the cost of the conditional ticket(s) (less the administrative fee) within 30 days after the final U.S. Women’s National Team match at the 2011 FIFA Women’s World Cup.
