U-17 89 MNT Tops Silverbacks U-18 in Atlanta  

ATLANTA, Ga. (Monday, Sept. 13, 2004) – The U.S. Under-17 ’89 Men’s National Team topped the Atlanta Silverbacks U-18 on Monday by a 2-0 margin in a game played at Silverback Park in Atlanta.

Second-half subs provided all the scoring for the U.S. with goals by midfielder Michael Farfan and defender Ernesto Mariscal in the 75th and 87th minutes, respectively. Forward Joey Sorrentino had the assist on each U.S. goals.

In net for the U.S., Joseph Dendik when the full 90 minutes between the pipes for the U.S. and recorded the shutout with three saves.
