U.S. Men's Pan American Team Falls to Mexico
RIO de JANIERO, Brazil (July 21, 2007) -- Two second-half goals by Mexico end the U.S. run at the 2007 Pan American Games. As the U.S. was playing with 10 men after the 72nd minute, Mexico was able to take advantage of the depleted U.S. defense and score twice in the last 15 minutes.

In the 75th minute, Rodolfo del Real put Mexico on the board first. Three minutes later, Enrique Alejandro Esqueda made it 2-0, and the Mexican defense did the rest, allowing just one shot on goal throughout the game.

U.S. goalkeeper Warren Gross made nine saves in the match, facing 15 total shots. The U.S. ends their run at the Pan American games with one win and two losses.
