Goalkeeper Kevin Klasila Replaces Injured Warren Gross in SBS Cup

CHICAGO (Aug. 7, 2007) -- Goalkeeper Kevin Klasila has been called in to the U.S. Under-18 Men's National Team on the eve of their trip to Japan, replacing injured goalkeeper Warren Gross.

Klasila, who plays for Santa Clara University, will join the team in advance of their SBS Cup appearance in Shizuoka, Japan. Gross, Klasila's teammate at the recent PanAmerican Games in Brazil, injured his thumb during preparation.

The U.S. opens tournament play on Aug. 11 against the Shizuoka Selections, an area all-star team. They will then face Ukraine on Aug. 12 and Japan on Aug. 14 to complete the four team round-robin tournament.
