BALLYMENA, Northern Ireland (Aug. 1, 2005) - The U.S. Under-18 Men's National Team pulled out a 1-1 draw with Brazil in their opening match of the 2005 Milk Cup this afternoon at the Ballymena Showgrounds in Ballymena, Northern Ireland.
The U.S. fell behind when Fabiano finished off a pass from Hugo in the 25th minute, but 2004 Gatorade High School Player of the Year Lee Nguyen found the equalizer in the 77th minute.
The U.S. will face Serbia & Montenegro in their second match of the tournament on Wednesday, Aug. 3. Serbia & Montenegro fell to Northern Ireland 3-1 in their opening match of the elite group.
Cameroon was originally scheduled to participate in the tournament, but Serbia & Montenegro filled in when the team was unable to participate.
