U-17 '90 MNT Defeats Super Y-League All-Stars Over The Weekend

The U.S. Under-17 '90 Men’s National Team broke into two squads during this past weekend at the Super Y-League ODP National Camp, with both squads picking up victories against two different Super Y All-Star teams, made up of a collection of the best players in the camp.

In the first match of the day at Cocoa Expo Sports Center, the U-17s were led by Sheanon Williams, who tallied two first half goals, and Bryan Dominguez, who notched goals in each half, for a 5-2 victory over the Super Y All-Stars. Williams scored in the 23rd and 27th minutes and Dominguez buried his first goal in the 33rd minute to take a 3-0 lead into halftime.

The Super Y All-Stars came back with two goals in the second half to cut the lead to one, but Dominguez and Brek Shea tallied in the final 10 minutes to pull away for the victory. The second match was also paced by a two-goal performance as Jared Jeffrey scored the first and last goals (eighth and 88th minutes) for a 3-1 victory. The Super Y All-Stars were able to pull even after Jeffrey’s first tally with a goal in the 36th minute, but Axel Levry scored the game-winner in the 67th on an unassisted strike.
