CHICAGO (February 9) – The U.S. Under-17 ’90 Men’s National Team held their own against a young Chicago Fire squad, but fell 1-0 at IMG Academy in Bradenton, Fla.
The lone goal of the 50-minute match (two 25-minute halves) was scored by the Fire in the 34th minute. A minute later, the U.S. came inches from pulling even, but Alex Dixon’s drive from the top of the area hit the crossbar.
The U-17 ‘90s will next face D.C. United this Saturday, Feb. 11.
