CHICAGO (February 12) – The U.S. Under-17 ’89 Men’s National Team fell 1-0 to the MetroStars in the second match of a doubleheader that was part of the Second Annual Tom Fitzgerald Soccer Festival in Tampa, Fla.

Youri Djorkaeff scored the lone goal in the match, burying his unassisted shot in just the fifth minute.

Josmer Altidore, drafted by the MetroStars in this year’s MLS SuperDraft, got a chance to go against his new teammates as he is still part of U.S. Soccer’s Residency Program until this May. Altidore played the full 90 minutes for the U-17s.
