U-18s Draw 2-2 Against U-17 '90 MNT

BRADENTON, Fla. (March 9, 2006) - The U.S. Under-18 Men's National Team drew 2-2 with the U.S. Under-17 '90 Men's National Team this afternoon at IMG Academy in Bradenton, Fla.

The U-18s got off to a stellar beginning against their younger counterparts when former U-17 midfielder Micheal Stephens found Eber Martinez inside the box and the forward finished past Josh Lambo in the 2nd minute.

The U-17s were able to bounce back, finding the equalizer when Alex Dixon scored an unassisted strike in the 36th minute.

Four minutes before halftime, the U-18s retook the lead as Stephens once again set up a teammate, this time finding Casey Townsend, who finished past Lambo.

The U-17s were outshot 13-5 during the match, but still managed to pull even once again. Brek Shea tallied past Warren Gross in the 63rd minute.
