U.S. U-16 Girl's National Team Wins All Three Matches in Holland
The U.S. Under-16 Girl’s National Team swept all three matches on its tour of Holland, defeating two women’s clubs as well as the Dutch U-19 team.

The U.S. opened the tour on April 11 with a 3-1 win over Seastum, as the USA's Jennifer Laponte, Sarah Chapman and Julie Bouchelle tallied for the USA. All three goals were scored in the first half before Seastum pulled one back in the 56th minute.

The next day, the USA again scored all its goals in the first half in a quality 2-1 victory over Holland’s U-19 side. Holland actually got on the board first in the 16th minute, but goals from Casey Short (26th minute) and another from Laponte (30th) just five minutes later were enough for the win.

Short’s goal came after Beth West chipped a ball over the defense giving Short a one-on-one with the ‘keeper. Laponte got her second goal of the tour after running onto a through ball from Brittani Bartok. She took a touch and hit her shot off the post and in.

The USA’s final win over RVVH came on April 15, a 3-1 victory that saw goals from Short, Macy Jo Harrison and Bartok. The USA scored two early goals in the 5th and 14th minutes before RVVH pulled within one in the 38th minute. Bartok put the game away in the 65th minute.
