CARSON, California (Sept. 28, 2006) – The U.S. Under-15 Girls’ National Team continued the Women’s Nike Friendlies on Friday with a convincing 4-0 victory over Cal South's U-16 ODP team at The Home Depot Center.

In the seventh minute, defender Heather Marik got forward on a corner kick by Lauren Matheson and headed in the first goal of the game from six yards out.

In the second half, the U.S. began to put the game away in the 58th minute when Kim Castleberry drove right down the pipe to collect a through ball from Olivia Klei that she slotted past the goalkeeper.

Three minutes later, U.S. midfielder Brianne Rodriguez kept possession in the center of the penalty area before playing Victoria DiMartino through the Cal South back line where she tapped the ball home from eight yards.

Castleberry scored her second of the game to make it 4-0 in the 82nd minute. She collected a low pass in from the wing by DiMartino and spun to drive a cracker into the top of the net from 14 yards out.

Tad Bobak's side returns to action on Saturday, Sept. 30, at noon vs. U-16 Surf SC in their final match of the 2006 Women's Nike Friendlies.
