U.S. U-15 BNT White Defeats Surf FC During Third Day of Nike Friendlies

BRADENTON, Fla. (December 8, 2007) – The U.S. Under-15 Boys’ National Team White defeated Surf FC, 4-1, at IMG Academy in Bradenton, Fla., behind a brace from Atsou Ayah during the third day of the Development Academy Nike Friendlies.

A Surf goal from Dale Huber in the 39th minute put the U.S. behind, 1-0, at the half, but Cole Iverson was able to even the score just after the break. Defender George Fradenburg sent a long cross in from the left side that Cole Iverson headed past Surf goalkeeper James Stroud.

The second U.S. goal was also a header, with Ayah getting the finishing touch in the 49th minute. Ayah scored his second goal of the night just three minutes later, hitting a 25-yard bomb into the back of the net.

Defender David Caban scored the last goal of the night, slotting the ball past the goalkeeper in the 59th minute to seal the victory.

Both the U.S. U-15 BNT Blue and White take the field on Sunday in the final day of the Nike Friendlies. The U.S. U-15 BNT Blue takes on Real So Cal at 12 p.m. ET while the U.S. U-15 BNT White faces Crossfire Premier at 1 p.m. ET.
