U.S. U-17 MNT '91s Defeat Vardar, 5-0, at Development Academy Nike Friendlies

BRADENTON, Fla. (December 9, 2007) -- The U.S. Under-17 '91 Men's National team defeated Vardar U-17/18, 5-0, behind an Eder Arreola brace at the Development Academy Nike Friendlies.

The U.S. got on the board in the 13th minute, when Kofi Sarkodie ran onto a ball in the corner and slotted it back for Scott Caldwell to hit a one-timer into the back of the net. They doubled their lead just two minutes later when Korey Veeder stripped a Vardar defender to win the ball and layed it across for Arreola.

Ten minutes before halftime, Sarkodie picked up his second assist on the day, running on a ball and crossing it for Greg Garza to put away. Two minutes later, Arreola played a ball into the box, where Nick Millington beat a sliding defender to the ball and made it 4-0 before halftime.

In the second half, Arreola capped off his morning with a 62nd minute volley, finishing a Millington cross from the right side.
